- General overview
Patient:
Female, 22 years old.
Clinical symptoms:
Referred to the hospital due to abdominal pain, diarrhoea and fever, started 1 month ago.
Normal abdominal examination except for some tenderness in righ low quadrant.
Abdominal examination was normal, except for some tenderness in the RL quadrant.
Ileitis
Ultrasound examination
Lineal high frecuency probe. Near the ascendent colon and anterior to illiac artery a tubular structure is seen. It is a bowel loop with concentric wall thickness higher than 4 mm. No peristalsis is seen and the lumen is displayed uncommonly narrow.
